Idlewood is a small, quiet suburb of Kitchener featuring homes constructed in the mid to late 1980s. Homes in the area vary from gorgeous, 4+ bedroom executive homes to semi-detached family homes. Bright, tree-lined streets with well-maintained yards are what can be expected in Idlewoods. This area is home to individuals, couples and families who simply want a place they can call home. Springmount Park located in the center of Idlewood offers a dense, forested area with a network of trails spreading out in each direction for nature lovers to enjoy.

Despite the small size of the neighbourhood, there is still a shopping area located at the northeast corner of the neighbourhood: The Lackner Center, offering restaurants, grocery shopping, Kitchener’s only drive test center and more. Although, if that is not enough to satisfy your shopping needs, located on Idlewood’s northwest corner is Stanley Park Mall. For the more athletic and active residents the neighbourhood offers: the Grand River Arena, an indoor and outdoor sports facility; Lyle Hallman Pool, which is open year round; and The Heritage Greens Lawn Bowling Club.
