Mannheim is a neighbourhood located on the very west end of the city past Trussler Road. Technically a part of Wilmot township, Mannheim is often considered to be a part of the city of Kitchener. This neighbourhood is home to a broad mixture of homes including modest bungalows to executive homes for the more affluent residents. Age of homes in the area varies as well, some homes dating back to the 60’s, while some within just the last 15 years.
This area is conveniently located off of Trussler Road and Bleams Road, giving close access to both Sunrise Center and the shops at The Boardwalk located on Ira Needles. Convenient access to the Expressway makes for easy transportation throughout the city considering the neighbourhood is based on the outskirts of the city.
Public school children in Mannheim will attend New Dundee P.S. for JK-6 before moving on to Sir Adam Beck P.S. for grades 7 through 8. Lastly, students will attend Waterloo-Oxford D.S.S. to finish their highschool education. Catholic school students will attend John Sweeney Catholic Elementary School for grades JK-8 before finishing their high school education at St. Mary’s Secondary School.
