In the central/western quadrant of Kitchener, you will find the lovely neighbourhood of Laurentian Hills. Most of the homes in Laurentian Hills were built mainly back in the 1960s and 1980s, making Laurentian Hills a well-established neighbourhood with mature trees and plenty of post-war homes. Residents of this neighbourhood also benefit from the excellent access to the Expressway, making it easy to get around the tri-city.

This area is perfect for individuals who love to shop and prefer the convenience of being nearby, without the additional commotion throughout their neighbourhood. Sunrise Center is the largest of the venues, offering retail shops, restaurants, and several major chain stores. Laurentian Mall is also close by; offering even more big box stores, including Zehrs and Staples. Lastly, Forest Glen Plaza is another major shopping venue for the neighbourhood; providing retail locations, a pharmacy, and a No Frills grocery store. The shopping doesn’t stop there, with plenty of other strip malls strategically located around the neighbourhood you can definitely shop until you drop. For individuals looking for even more shopping, Fairway Road is also just a short drive away; boasting Fairview Park Mall, a brand new cinema and plenty other shops for all.

Public school students living in Laurentian Hills will attend Trillium Public School for grades JK-6, before moving on to Laurentian Public School for grades 7 and 8, and finally they will attend Cameron Collegiate Institute for their high school education. Catholic school students will attend Monsignor R.M. Haller Catholic Elementary School for JK-8 before continuing their education at St. Mary’s Secondary School for high school.
