Lexington neighbourhood is located on the east side of Waterloo just a short distance from the Grand River. This makes it a popular neighbourhood for nature lovers, offering heaps of trails to explore on foot, snow shoe, or cross country skis in the winter months. In the summer months, residents can enjoy use of the nearby parks, baseball diamonds, and soccer fields.

Lexington is conveniently located near the expressway and the popular shopping district near Conestoga Mall, while remaining disengaged from the hustle and bustle that is Waterloo. Not to be forgotten, the east side of Waterloo is home to RIM Park—a state-of-the-art facility with four indoor rinks and two indoor sports fields—and Grey Silo Golf Course, an 18-hole public course.

The homes in Lexington range from older homes, 30+ years old, to newer homes with spacious lots and mature trees lining the streets.

Public school children can look forward to attending Lexington Public School for grades JK-6, prior to attending Margaret Avenue School for grades 7 through 8. High school students of the area are bussed to Bluevale Collegiate Institute. Catholic students begin their education at St. Matthew’s Elementary School for grades JK-8 then move on to St. David’s Catholic Secondary School.
