EAST WATERLOO

In the northeast corner of waterloo, located directly along the Grand River is the neighbourhood of Eastbridge. Bordering the city limits, Eastbridge offers plenty of activity for its residents while maintaining a rather detached feel from the commotion that is city life. All the while Eastbridge remains closely connected to the amenities the city has to offer. Childcare facilities, Waterloo social services, restaurants, and shopping are within an easy reach of Eastbridge residents.

This neighbour is perfect for individuals who wish to live an active lifestyle. RIM Park is located in Eastbridge, a state-of-the-art indoor recreation facilities includes four skating rinks, two soccer fields, and two basketball courts. Also, the Grey Silo Golf Course, offering 18 holes of golf right in Waterloo is in Eastbridge. Not to be overshadowed, there is plenty of outdoor activities including baseball diamonds, soccer fields and walking trails.

Eastbridge homes are fairly new with modern amenities for everyone with easy access to the expressway to get around the city. There is an active neighbourhood association that organizes a variety of activities ranging from Halloween parties, holiday tree lighting, to community garage sales.

There are two public schools within the neighbourhood; Millen Woods Public School and Lester B. Pearson Public School, both of which offer JK-6 and the option of French immersion. Public high school students would be bussed to Bluevale Collegiate Institute. Catholic students of Eastbridge in grades JK-8 and attend St. Luke Catholic School prior to attending St. David’s Catholic Secondary School.
