My Experience
After completing an undergraduate degree in 2011, I began working at a start-up import company in Toronto. My primary role was to manage the supply chain. However, as the only full-time employee, I was working on quality control one day, procurement the next, writing content for the website the next, and so on. Every day was different. I worked on million-dollar accounts in North America, travelled to Central and South America, and certified the company with a coveted U.S. Customs and Border Protection program. It was an extremely rewarding experience to be part of a flourishing company.
Eventually, I decided to go back to school to revisit a childhood dream of a career in healthcare. In 2014, I attended the University of Toronto for a professional Master’s degree. I gained valuable experience in areas of women’s mental health, inpatient burn and trauma care, alternative communication, hospital administration, and research. Although I learned a lot, I wondered whether it was ultimately the right career choice for me.
I went on to start a family and move to Kitchener-Waterloo. I fell in love with the way people smiled at each other on the streets and trails, the movement to support local businesses, and the strong sense of community. I knew instantly that this was a great place to call home.
I did some freelance work and eventually some part-time administrative work with Bob Bunker Homes. Real estate stuck with me. It is a perfect balance of everything I love - research, planning, creativity, and, most of all, client care. I am grateful that I found my way here and to this community. I am so excited to be a part of the TrilliumWest team and to support clients during one of the most rewarding experiences of their lives.
My Approach
Representing my clients’ best interests is at the core of my approach. I believe this is achieved by active listening, communicating quickly and effectively, providing thoughtful advice, and being thorough and accountable. Having worked in some form of customer service role since the age of sixteen, I have an ingrained sense of service to others and the drive to see my clients happy.
My Difference
Organization
My endeavours - from running my own dog and house sitting business in undergrad to wearing multiple hats at a startup - have demanded strong organizational skills. I have a lot of practice at being organized; but mostly, I just love it.
Loyalty
When someone puts their trust in me, I take it seriously. I will do everything I can to act on their behalf to achieve their goals.
Discipline
I grew up on a farm in rural Ontario, so early morning chores were the norm. Although I did not appreciate this back then, I do now, as this discipline has undoubtedly helped me to achieve what I have today.
