My Experience
My passion for real estate began early in my life: my first purchase after graduating from my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering was a small plot of land. I believe we feel a unique sense of power and joy from owning property and have since helped many friends and colleagues enjoy that very joy.
After working as a Civil Engineer for 9 years, I made the riskiest investment of my life and immigrated to Canada with my wife and young daughter. It’s safe to say that we experienced a high return on that investment, but not without experiencing the ups and downs of immigration. Since arriving in Canada in 1999, I’ve had my fair share of unique job experiences: I worked as an estimator in the construction industry for multi-million dollar projects (such as Niagara Falls Casino, Grand River Hospital, etc), took a Robotics and Automation Technology Program at Conestoga College and worked in Quality Control in the Nuclear Reactor industry.
Because of my experience immigrating, I understand and empathize with the feeling of starting from nothing, from building yourself up by the bootstraps and working hard for what you earn. Our first property purchase was a milestone for our family, as it is for many other immigrants and young families who feel the odds stacked against them.
Throughout the last 20 years, what remained consistent in my life was my love for family and my love for real estate. Buying and selling properties allowed me to give my family the life they deserve. Many Canadians today see real estate as more than just a place to live: real estate is an opportunity. I help you recognize your potential, whether it’s for you or for your loved ones.
Whether you’re buying or selling your first home or your 5th home, or perhaps your 5th home that happens to be your first home in this beautiful country; for investments, for yourself or for family, I’m here as your teammate to help you achieve your goals.
My Approach
Real estate is not a one-size-fits all industry – someone’s dream can be another’s nightmare! All the different options can feel overwhelming: my job is to understand your wants, needs and goals, and then consolidate the endless options into achievable outcomes.
I want my clients to feel comfortable and confident in this process – these are big decisions! I’m part of your team, rooting for your win – however you define that, is entirely up to you. I combine my expertise with your priorities to get you results you’re proud of.
I’m here to listen, even if your wish list changes along the way! Sometimes as we learn more, we change what we want – and that is completely ok. As you iterate and grow, I will iterate and grow with you. Don’t be afraid to speak up about being unsure about something, or perhaps changing your mind about something else. Real estate is flexible and dynamic, so we will be too.
My Difference
Less is More
Have you ever heard of paralysis by analysis? It’s the state of over-analyzing or over-thinking a situation and then never making a decision or taking action, in effect paralyzing the outcome! You tell me what you want, and I’ll tell you what you need to know to achieve that goal. I analyze and think to simplify it for you. If you want to know the nitty-gritty details – great! If not, let’s focus on achieving outcomes.
Personal Experience
Personal experience adds colour and context in ways that facts and numbers can’t: I’m a landlord, a buyer, and a seller with properties across KW and the GTA. Real Estate is a learning experience, so I share my honest stories to help you learn from not just my wins, but my losses too.
Honesty
In Real Estate, ignorance is not bliss. Sometimes what you hope to hear, isn’t what you need to hear. I’m in this for your long-term gain, even if that means having difficult conversations now. I won’t sugarcoat: I work within the realities of the market to help you win – not just for today, but for tomorrow.
